Former PDP Presidential Candidate Pays Condolence Visit to Katsina State
On Saturday, June 22, 2024, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2023 election, paid a condolence visit to Katsina State.
Upon his arrival at the Malam Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina, Atiku and his entourage proceeded to Daura. There, he visited former President Muhammadu Buhari and the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruq Umar (CON), to extend greetings for the Eid festivities.
Returning to Katsina city, Atiku visited the family of the late Alhaji Lawal Kaita to offer condolences on the passing of his wife. He also visited the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmuminu Kabir Usman (CFR), to mourn the death of his son, Abdullahi Abdulmuminu.
Governor Dikko Umar Radda welcomed Atiku and his team during the condolence visit, with Atiku expressing gratitude for the hospitality despite their political differences.
Atiku’s entourage included Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, former Secretary to the Katsina State Government Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, Senator Umar Ibrahim Tsauri, among others.
